I didn’t realize I typed up this wine review and never pushed the button to publish it. Me and my challenges with technology. Anyway, look at the trees. The backyard was green and lush. I wish! I did make reference to serving this wine for the holidays. Guess who will be going to the liquor store today!

I chose this wine because it is a Maryland wine. Boordy Vineyards started in 1965 and moved to its current location in Hydes, Maryland in 1980. They believe in preserving the environment and placed their farm in permanent preservation with the Maryland Environmental Trust, which seeks to protect Maryland’s most treasured landscapes and natural resources as a legacy for future generations.

Packaging – 4

I love the picture of the wild Assateague ponies and the β€œripped” bottom of the label. The screw top had me a bit worried, but don’t you worry. 😊

Cost – 4.5

At $15.99, this wine was fairly priced. Inexpensive enough for any occasion, and a decent price to buy in quantity for parties and special events.

Fragrance – 4 .5

This wine has a deep, fruity, caramel perfume. VERY pretty!

Taste – 4.5

Wonderful! Fruity, caramel, robust, tart, very mildly acidic, and very smooth.

Overall likeability – 5

Boordy Syrah is my new favorite! It is perfect for everyday drinking and I will absolutely serve it for the holidays. I plan to stock up on my next trip to the wine shop. The vineyard is an hour and 40 minutes away. I look forward to visiting to discover what other treasures they have.
