As I drank my Friday evening glass of wine and commented on my first time trying the brand, my husband said “why don’t you review wines on your blog”? I’m in NO WAY a professional wine connoisseur, or whatever they’re called, but I know what I like. I’ve decided to rate wines on the characteristics that are important to me. I’ll rate each category with a rating of 1-5 with 1 being below average or pretty disgusting, and 5 being…

I went to the farmers market yesterday afternoon. It was beautiful outside, 70 degrees and sunny, but I was cold. I felt a tiny bit odd all wrapped up while everyone else was in t-shirts and shorts, but this is me… always chilly. If I’m hot, it’s HOT. When I got home, I made myself a cup of ginger tea. I’ve since moved it, but I got some pretty good action shots this morning. When I came downstairs, her little butt was perched on the edge of…

Of course I wanted an A, but it is what it is. This was my FINAL paper for school, so I am happy! It is a boring read for some, but it explores how bitters affect the body and are beneficial to health. It didn’t help that the instructor wrote one of the books required for class AND I was an independent study student with one other student. I was INTIMIDATED! Please take a look. Organoleptics of Bitter: Tasting with…
