I didn’t realize I typed up this wine review and never pushed the button to publish it. Me and my challenges with technology. Anyway, look at the trees. The backyard was green and lush. I wish! I did make reference to serving this wine for the holidays. Guess who will be going to the liquor store today! ** — ** — ** Happy Holidays ** — ** — ** I chose this wine because it is a Maryland wine. Boordy…

Last weekend, my baby cousin turned a year old. My cousin, his aunt, asked me to help out with a Winter Onederland themed party. Cute right?! I took advantage of the bare branches, pine boughs, and holly branches in my backyard to create cool trees and warm table centerpieces. My favorite part of the whole set up were the snow flakes. I made “kindergarden” style snowflakes by cutting paper along with light weight plastic snow flake ornaments I purchased from…

Honey has been used since ancient times as medicine. Along with great skin and wound healing benefits, honey has amazing antibacterial activity which means bacteria and other microorganisms cannot grow or reproduce in honey. Ingesting honey can help prevent common infections especially in winter. In the spring, my daughter and I use raw, local honey to help our bodies adapt to the pollen in our local floral population, essentially using local honey is a lessor form of an “allergy shot”. I realized yesterday that it has been a year since we got our big boy Lolo. After losing my precious baby Diego, Taz our other kitty was really depressed. She had been crying, she stopped eating, and the life seemed drained from her. I decided to adopt a friend for her. I found a potential buddy for her on the Humane Society website. He was a cute little thing, all black and named Raven. I thought it was a sign…

I first heard about Textbroker from moneysavingmom.com. I had been looking everywhere for legitimate ways to make money from home and couldn’t find anything that seemed genuine. I wrote a few articles, then got too busy with school so I stopped. A few days ago, I received an email from Textbroker informing past and present authors that Textbroker received an order for 10,000 articles and they are looking for people to complete the jobs. Textbroker.com is the real deal. They…

Last year, my precious Diego passed away. I was devastated and so was 10 year old Taz, (or Tazzie/Tazzie Wazzie) as we call her. She cried, looked for Diego, and refused to eat for several days. The night before Thanksgiving, I decided to adopt a friend for her. Enter Lolo… (I’ll tell his story in another post). One day he was in my lap in all his kitten cuteness. I said “Oh Lolo, you’re so cute and you’ve got so…

I love the fall! When the kids were little, it meant field trips to the petting farm and a Saturday excursion to the county fair. My daughter came home from school to go with me and my husband to the Charles County Fair. I missed the last few years of the fair because the kids started going with their friends. I have great memories of going to the fair with the kids, and I really missed seeing my favorite local…
