Just like George Orwell’s book 1984 that I skimmed in high school instead of actually reading, “big brother” is always watching your actions.  Robert and I keep getting targeted ads every time we log in, for things we talk about but NEVER search online. On Saturday, we were drawing on chalkboard paper and talking about how I liked the chalk pens but he didn’t. TODAY he got an ad for chalkboards! This has happened SO many times that I knew…

Hi Everybody! I can’t believe it has been more than a month since my last blog post! I have to admit, I have been a little down. The rainy spring, my long commute, my empty nest… In my last post I talked about my “epic failure” with my seedlings. I have been moping around feeling pretty sorry for myself. I repotted the 15 seedlings that survived the cold ceramic and inferior lighting. Then an amazing thing happened… the pea plant…

Of the 55 pots of seeds I planted, only 20 seedlings have survived.  There are a few reasons why… First, the pots. In the past, I used plastic. Nicole ended up firing the planner, but kept me on as her florist. Her wedding was…

Yes…the bottle is empty! I had lunch with a friend on Monday. She was fighting a cold so we stopped in the liquor store afterward so she could buy some brandy for a hot toddy. I bought two bottles of wine. I opened this one on Tuesday and by the actual snow day on Wednesday, I only had one glass left. *blush.. Anyway… I LOVE this wine. I will definitely buy it again. Cape Original Cabernet Sauvignon – No. 2016…

Today is the first day of spring and it’s snowing here in Southern Maryland! The entire region is expecting 4-8 inches. Schools and the Federal government are closed today. I feed the birds everyday but because of the weather, we had so many more visit the feeder. I felt bad so I put out two extra bowls of seed. When I looked out, the bowls had fallen off the railing, so I refilled them, pulled the table over, and set…
